Best Blog Award:
Navajo Rug Tailored to Water Theme

Article needs to be between 1,000 – 1,500 words. Any perspective is welcome, such as personal experiences with water-human relationship, commentary on news items regarding water issues, links between culture and water, etc. Anyone may submit a blog post for publication, but the contest is restricted to United States residents 18 years or older. Contact Farina King at Farina@WaterRiverLifeGiver.org to become a guest blogger and enter the contest. Please provide first and last name, email address, and a short bio. You will have the option to post directly via WordPress once a username is created for you, OR, if you prefer, we will set-up and post on your behalf (text file or Word document acceptable; no pdf, please). Once a submission is reviewed and approved, the article will be posted on the website and social media. We encourage guest bloggers to submit a high resolution image or photo which you have legal permission to use and is related to the article topic. If no image or photo is provided, we will provide one for you. Blog will be on-going, but to qualify for the Best Blog Award, you must submit article by Wednesday, April 27, 2016. (Early submissions have a better chance of winning. Awards are based on most viewer likes on the WaterRiverLifeGiver.org site.) Voting closes 11:59PM EDT on April 28, 2016. Awards will be announced on Friday, April 29, 2016 and recipients will be invited to a special event at Dartmouth College.

Poetry Contest Rules

Best Poem Award:
$100

Poem needs to be no more than 500 words. Poems should follow the “Water is Life” theme. Anyone may submit a poem for publication, but the contest is restricted to United States residents 18 years or older. Contact us at Poem@WaterRiverLifeGiver.org to submit your poem (text file or Word document acceptable; no pdf, please). Type poem title at top. If no title, please type NO TITLE. Please provide first and last name, and email address. Once a submission is reviewed and approved, the poem will be posted on the website and social media. To qualify for the Best Poem Award, you must submit your poem by Wednesday, April 27, 2016. (Early submissions have a better chance of winning. Awards are based on most viewer likes on the WaterRiverLifeGiver.org site.) Art Contest Rules

Artwork should follow the “Water is Life” theme, but medium of expression is open to video, animation, photography, and any visual art. If you are uncertain whether your idea is acceptable, please email us to inquire. Anyone may submit art for publication, but the contest is restricted to United States residents 18 years or older. Contact us at Art@WaterRiverLifeGiver.org to submit your artwork (file to submit is dependent on medium used; we will collaborate with the artist to determine the best way to submit). When submitting or inquiring, please provide first and last name, and email address. Once a submission is reviewed and approved, the artwork will be posted on the website and social media. To qualify for the Best Art Award, you must submit your artwork by Wednesday, April 27, 2016. (Early submissions have a better chance of winning.
